Combi element

In order to save column height and to reduce the number of internals in a column, it is advisable to combine the tasks of different internals into one component.

For various separation tasks in columns, it is necessary to charge several tower packing stages with different liquids. Between such column stages, there is a support grid for both the packing and collection tray of down running liquid.

The Combi-element developed by RVT Process Equipment GmbH combines these functions into one part.

Additional advantages of the component are low pressure drops and very low weeping rates. It is recommended to put the Combi-elements onto a ring channel inside the column. Depending on column diameter, additional support beams could be required.
