Industrial and municipal waste water often contain high concentrations of of ammonium-nitrogen. Stripping with air or steam is a proven technology in terms of the treatment of ammonia-laden liquids.
Stripping with steam allows the enriching of the condensate and then the use of the ammonia as a concentrated solution. Alternatively ammonium sulfite with 30 – 40 % of concentration can be produced in the following scrubbing process that may be used as a fertilizer.
We refer to numerous examples of these types of plants for industrial as well as for communal application.
