Ammonia Removal

Industrial and municipal wastewater often contains high concentrations of ammonium-nitrogen. Stripping with air or steam is a proven solution for the treatment of ammonia-laden liquids.

Stripping with steam allows for enrichment of the condensate and allows the use of the ammonia as a concentrated solution. Alternatively, ammonium sulfite with a concentration of 30-40% can be produced in a follow-up scrubbing process, and it can be used as a fertilizer.
