Technical Data tower packing
For each type of packing, there is an individual data sheet available. Each sheet includes information regarding physical data, available materials of construction, and experimental data regarding pressure loss and load limits. These data sheets are available in PDF format, and are easily downloaded for saving and printing.

Balls are the simplest, regular formed packing elements. Ball packing has a comparatively small surface area per packed volume. Also, the pressure drop with ball packing is quite high due to the low void fraction. Balls are commonly used as catalyst support media and can also be used to smooth fluid flows.

Bioflow
The biological carrier media used in MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) are continuously in motion due to air injection and recirculating water. These carriers have big surface areas allowing for the growth of microorganisms while still maintaining a high permeability for water. These carriers are good for applications with the possibility of increasing the capacity of existing plants or reducing the volume of newly designed plants. A further advantage of this media is its low sensitivity against the high variability of organic loads, such as those commonly found within industrial wastewater treatment plants. RFK
Carriers for trickling filters and submerged beds are commonly use in fixed beds. These carriers are available as structured blocks as well as random packing. The open structure ensures good flow of water in all directions. Depending on the organic load, several types of packing with different specific surface areas can be provided.
